I love to read so I thought I would share with you the books I have read over the last couple of
months
months
I am currently reading Dan Brown, Deception Point which I received for Christmas. I have read most books by Dan Brown and find them very enjoyable and educational. The book is about Intelligence Analyst Rachel Sexton is in her mid-thirties, is single, and works for the NRO (National Reconnaissance Office).
Her father, Senator Sedgewick Sexton, is a presidential candidate who is more popular than incumbent President of the United States Zachary Herney. The President sends her to the Arctic
as part of a team of experts to confirm and authenticate findings made by NASA deep within the Milne Ice Shelf. NASA's new Polar Orbiting Density Scanner (PODS), part of the Earth Observation System (EOS), a collection of satellites monitoring the globe for signs of large-scale change, has found an extremely dense spot in the Milne Ice Shelf. At this spot NASA discovers a very dense meteorite. In it are insect
fossils very similar to, but not the same as, species on earth. NASA claims this as proof of extraterrestrial life.

I love reading books by author Lauren Weisberger and the Last Night At The Chateau Marmont is an easy and enjoyable read.
Brooke loved reading the dishy celebrity gossip rag Last Night. That is, until her marriage became a weekly headline.
Brooke was drawn to the soulful, enigmatic Julian Alter the very first time she heard him perform “Hallelujah” at a dark East Village dive bar.
Now five years married, Brooke balances two jobs—as a nutritionist at NYU Hospital and as a consultant to an Upper East Side girls’ school, where privilege gone wrong and disordered eating run rampant—in order to help support her husband’s dream of making it in the music world.
Things are looking up when after years of playing Manhattan clubs and toiling as an A&R intern, Julian finally gets signed by Sony. Although no one’s promising that the album will ever hit the airwaves, Julian is still dedicated to logging in long hours in the recording studio. All that changes after Julian is asked to perform on the Tonight show with Jay Leno—and is catapulted to stardom,
literally overnight. Amazing opportunities begin popping up almost daily—a new designer wardrobe, a tour with Maroon Five, even a Grammy performance.

At first the newfound fame is fun—who wouldn’t want
to stay at the Chateau Marmont or visit the set of one of television’s hottest shows? Yet it seems that Brooke’s sweet husband—the man who can’t handle hot showers and wears socks to bed—is increasingly absent, even on those rare nights they’re home together. When rumors about Brooke and Julian swirl in the tabloid magazines, she begins to question the truth of her marriage and is
forced to finally come to term with what she thinks she wants—and what she actually needs.

I really do enjoy reading Dan Brown Books and was very pleased when the Lost Symbol came out. The book was brilliant one of my favourites a recommended read for sure.
The Lost Symbol is an upcoming novel by American writer Dan Brown, creator of the Bestseller The Da
Vinci Code.
The Lost Symbol will have as protagonist the unforgettable Robert Langdon, a Harvard University Symbologist. Robert Langdon is already known from previous bestsellers, after 2000's Angels & Demons and 2003's The Da Vinci Code.
The book's story is taking place in Washington, D.C. and focus on Freemasonry and The Lost Symbol, a reference to a ciphered pictogram in an important talisman, the Hebrew Key of Solomon.
The Lost Symbol will be published on 15 September. It is one of the most awaited books of the year, being on pre-order lists for a few months and being heavily ordered both in the U.S. and Canada

The Last Pope was not as good as I thought It was going to be..........but here is a little more
about the book
about the book
Luis Miguel Rocha’s novel The Last Pope seamlessly weaves facts and fiction into a compelling story centered on the actual mysterious death of Pope John Paul I in 1978. Newspaper accounts by a Spanish journalist at the time of the Pope’s death painted a cloudy picture of what actually happened to His Holiness. Even reports of who found his body were controversial. The Last Pope emerged from these inconsistencies. Although there have been several nonfiction books that address the question of whether Pope John Paul I was murdered, Rocha’s book develops these conspiracy theories into an exciting thriller. The author delves into the life of Albino Luciani, who became Pope John Paul I, and Vatican history well. Historically, the Vatican ordered all involved on the morning of the Pope’s death to take a vow of silence. The Vatican’s official response: His Holiness, a man of delicate health, died of unknown causes, “possibly associated with a heart attack.” He was embalmed within 24 hours, preventing an autopsy which would have revealed the actual cause of his death.
