Harley Viera Newton and Stephanie Winston Wolkoff, Lincoln Center’s director of fashion. Here, T turns the tables on the duo and takes an exclusive look behind their closet doors.

"I go through phases where I wear certain items all the time, and these Alexander Wang shoes fit into that category. I don’t think I took them off for six months straight. My job at the time had hardwood floors, and the wooden heel would make tons of noise when I walked. Determined to still wear them every day, I got a thin layer of rubber put on the bottom to absorb the sound — that is dedication in my eyes!

"I scrimped and saved for this Celine bag. I am very accident-prone and am afraid that I will destroy or spill something all over it and stain the leather. So sadly, it spends a lot of time at home."   — Mark

"Like all girls, I am a huge fan of Thakoon. His clothes are so unique and beautiful; wearing them is such a treat. I loved this dress from the moment I saw it. These Chloé wedges were also a great purchase. They define beach-y chic to me."  — Mark

"I have an obsession with Yves Saint Laurent. It’s so chic! The blouse is from my fall 2011 collection. Just easy, sheer and I can just throw on with anything."  — Kleinberg

"I thought I was so cool and unique when I bought this piggy bank from Barneys, until I saw it in every single person’s home! It doesn’t matter, though — it makes me happy every time I look at it. These sunglasses are Proenza Schouler and are a go-to for me. I lost one pair of their glasses a couple years ago and now guard these ones very closely." — Mark

 

"Alexander McQueen used prints so beautifully that when this collection came out I tried to get my hands on as much of it as possible. I don’t really use the clutch that much, as I see it as a piece of art and am so scared to bring it out of the house!"   — Mark

 

"Living in Canada, it goes without saying that sweaters are a wardrobe essential. The sweater on the bottom left is designed by my lovely and talented partner, Erin Kleinberg, and has a place in my sweater hall of fame. It is so cozy and looks so chic. It is a sample, but I really don’t plan on parting with it anytime soon."   — Mark

"Stephanie and I shoot Phi whenever we come across it. Obsessed. The fur piece was my great grandmothers- she was effortlessly glam. Half my jewels are from her. And her collection of vintage scarves was what inspired me to create my first piece and start designing!" — Kleinberg

"This is my mom’s vintage Coach bag, and I am definitely reviving it! I am so sick of slouchy bags; frame bags are fresher to me now. The Chien de Collier is definitely a prized possession and a stunning color!

The Coveteur has made me a firm believer in what’s old is now new again, and I was so happy to bust out this ivory Marc Jacobs bag. Another structured beauty! The chain belt is from Value Village, one of my favorite stores in Toronto. It’s a chain thrift shop, but you’d be surprised the gear people give away. "  — Kleinberg

Nessie, Irina, Theo, Annabelle, and most recently Harley Viera Newton helped bring fall 2011 to life. I am one lucky gal! I’m in love with Tom Binns.
